The Psychiatry Service cares for adults and teenagers of 14 years of age or older included. It meets the needs of hospitalized patients and works as a team to offer assistance, support and psychopharmacologic control during their stay at the Hospital. The Service is divided into areas such as Psychiatry, Adult Psychotherapy, Adolescent Psychotherapy and Psychoprofilaxis and Group Psychotherapy. Within the Adult Psychotherapy area there are sectors for Psychodiagnostic Assessment, Neuropsychological Assessment and Rehabilitation for Cognitive and Memory Disorders. The team for Eating Disorders works together with the Nutrition Service Professionals. There are also sectors for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Learning Disorders (education therapy for adolescents and adults), Assistance to Psychiatric Inpatients, Vocational Counseling, Attention Disorder Disease (ADD) and Sexology and Psycho-Oncology Offices. Other areas are the Interconsultation in Transplant Psychoprofilaxis, Labor Applied Psychoprofilaxis and Inpatient Assistance.
