The Oncology Service has four comfortably equipped outpatient offices, a sector for secretarial work, a sector for Clinical Tests and an area for Day Hospital. Chemotherapy, intravenous infusion of bisphosphonates and antibiotics, punctions (hepatic, pleural, abdominal and spinal), lithotripsy, prostate biopsy, placement of double J’s catheter, minor traumatologic, otorhinolaryngologic and plastic surgery procedures, as well as transfusions are performed in this Service. Our highly qualified staff performs such treatments as continuous infusion with ambulatory-use bombs and therapeutic schemes that combine chemotherapy, biotherapy and hormone therapy. It also offers therapies concurrent with radiotherapy and chemotherapy for pathologies, such as head and neck, esophagus, gastric, neck of the uterus cancer, colorectal and anus cancer.
