The Hepatology Service manages all the diagnostic and therapeutic methods to manage patients with acute or chronic liver conditions. The sector is situated on the first floor and shares the area with the Transplant Unit. The outpatient offices are on the ground floor. Among the liver studies performed at our Service, molecular biology, Eco-Doppler, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and endoscopic and magnetic resonance cholangiography, can be mentioned. The professionals in this Service have vast experience in such techniques as hepatic resection and liver transplant. They are also able to deal with a variety of treatments in case of complications in patients with hepatic pathologies, such as the intervention endoscopy and the surgical and non-surgical anastomosis (TIPS).
