The Hemodialysis Unit is operated by Fresenius Medical Care Argentina S.A., a health team whose aim is the treatment of individuals suffering from terminal chronic renal disease or hospitalized patients suffering from acute renal failure. To accomplish this, they have a team of specialized professionals -- nephrologists, psychologists, nutritionists, nurses trained on Intensive Care, social workers and administrative staff specifically assigned to the area-- and the latest Hemodialysis technique available, developed by Fresenius Medical Care in Germany. The facilities for patients requiring renal substitutive replacement therapy have been especially designed. There are several suites – depending on the serology – and 24 Fresenius 4008B dialysis equipments together with a water treatment plant, an essential component of this technique.

For acute patients suffering from Acute Renal Failure, we use Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies (CRRT), including daily Hemodialysis, extended daily Hemodialysis and Venovenous Hemodiafiltration with on-line ultrapure Hemodiafiltration. Pre-transplant studies and follow-up of transplanted patients is also performed in this area.
