The Endoscopy Service was organized in answer to a rising demand on the specialty. Digestive duct, bile and pancreatic system pathologies are both diagnosed and treated. The facilities in our area include the highest technology endoscopies and accessories as well as a staff of professionals involved in satisfying the needs and expectations of patients. Among the studies performed, both on adults and children, the diagnostic endoscopy, the upper digestive video endoscopy, the video colonoscopy and the endoscopic retrogressive cholangiopancreatography, bile and pancreatic conducts and Vater’s papilla pathologies diagnosis may be mentioned. Furthermore, therapeutic endoscopies are performed at our Service to treat bleeding injuries in the digestive duct and to place intragastric balloons to treat obesity. There are two rooms – one for recovery and one for endoscopies – fully equipped and adapted for Pediatric patients.
