Our hospitalization area staff visits in patients every morning to assess their condition through physical examination, to request pertinent complementary studies and to report on their evolution to the patients themselves and to their family. Patients are checked again in the afternoon by the interns, who are in contact with the Head of the Service and the corresponding physicians.  It is common practice to consult with the family doctor, who coordinates actions and takes active part in the decision-making process. As for the Ambulatory area, the sector has outpatient offices, an office for spontaneous visits (no previous appointment required) and an office for Gerontology, which receives patients over 65 years of age requiring specialized assessment.
