The General Surgery Service has the necessary infrastructure and human resources to develop its activities in compliance with modern hospital organization standards. The physicians work full time, thus improving the quality of care. Considering the highly complex practice nowadays, the service is divided into sectors in charge of specialty physicians: Head and Neck, Esophagus, Stomach and Duodenum, Liver, Bile Ducts and Pancreas, Coloproctology and Surgical Oncology. There is an admittance service and an area for outpatient attention. Conventional minor, middle and high complexity surgical procedures are carried out, minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, percutaneous surgery), reconstructive surgery and microsurgery, among others.
